Paradise Cove Luau

Hawaii / Misc Photo's

Koko Head Crater Trail Hike - Nature's Stairmaster / Hawaii

Koko Head Crater Trail Hike - Nature's Stairmaster - There are approximately 1,100 "steps" on the trail. The "steps" are actually part of an abandoned railroad track that was once used by the military to transport supplies to a lookout shelter at the top.

DOLE PLANTATION / Hawaii

WELCOME TO DOLE PLANTATION! - Originally operated as a fruit stand beginning in 1950, Dole Plantation opened to the public as Hawaii’s "Pineapple Experience" in 1989. Today, Dole Plantation is one of Oahu’s most popular visitor attractions and welcomes more than one million visitors a year. Dole Plantation provides enjoyable activities for the entire family

Maunawili Falls Hiking Trail / Hawaii

Maunawili Falls Hiking Trail - This is a 6 ½ mile hike Round Trip is great introduction to O'ahu trails. Recently reopened, this trails features great view of the Ko'olaus Mountains, small waterfalls, and deep, cool, pools.

Pearl Harbor / USS Arizona Memorial

Today, the USS Arizona Memorial is a place to learn about this historic attack and pay your respects to the brave soldiers that fell that day. Begin at the Visitor Center where you can watch a film about the attack and view plaques honoring lives lost on that fateful day. You’ll then take a boat shuttle to the USS Arizona Memorial, a floating memorial built over the sunken hull of the Battleship USS Arizona, the final resting place for many of the ship’s crew. In the shrine room, a marble wall exhibits the names of the men who lost their lives on the Arizona. Poignant and powerful, this is a place where visitors come face to face with the devastating effects of war.

Diamond Head State Monument

Diamond Head State Monument sits along the Honolulu skyline just beyond Waikiki. This is 760-foot tuff crater, the crater was named Diamond Head by 19th century British sailors who thought they discovered diamonds on the crater's slopes. These "diamonds" were actually shiny calcite crystals that had no value. This moderately challenging trail includes two sets of stairs, totaling 175 steps, as well as dark, underground tunnels and old military bunkers that require a flashlight. The stunning views that greet you at the top of Diamond Head are well worth the effort.
