Trip to Fantasy Island - French Harbour, Roatán, Honduras

Day 7
Last day here, as you can see we are all packed up and (not) ready to go back home.
Looking forward to our next Trip here.

Just a Few things to Remember when you are leaving Roaton.
At the airport (RTB)
1. go to the Ticket Counter and get your Boarding Pass
2. Then you will get in line to pay your Departure Tax, this can only be done after you have gotten your Boarding Pass.
3. Depature Tax HAS to be Paid in CASH~!~! Very Important.
You can one of Several things, if you have some local money left over use that first, then pay the rest with US Dollars. If you don't have either one, there are several Impact machines there at the front doors of the airport.

Then you will go to the Gate and wait for your Flight to go home.
Jsut remember this is a Very Small Airport.
They have 2 Gift Shops but they are not always both open.
So if you are waiting till you get to the airport to Buy that something special for someone,
think twice. You might be disappointed.

Then just walk out and Board your Flight.

I am sure will Love this Place as much as we all did~!

We spent the day at Gumbalimba Park

Gumbalimba Park features an animal preserve, botanical gardens,
pirates Coxen's Cave and freshwater pool in over 20 lovely acres.

The Monkey's are just so Cute~!

Take a walk across this old rope bridge.

Beautiful Macaws everywhere.

And well there are around as well.
But they are kind of cute too.

This Old Lighthouse has now been turned into a Restaurant.

At Gumbalimba Park you will witness the raw beauty of the Caribbean at Roatan's finest preservation park – Gumbalimba Park.

Day 5
A FUN day with Dolphins!
We all got Kissed by a Dolphin~!

They were so Sweet and Gentle~!
We even got to hold them like a Baby.

They did all kinds of Tricks for us as well.

They talked and talked to us, the entire time we were there.

Well after our play time with the Dolphins,
we had some lunch, then just spent the rest of the day Relaxing on the Beach.

Sonny was trying to get caught up on some of his work,
talking on the phone, working on his tablet, with his drink.
His hat reads: " Office on the Beach"

Eric relaxing and taking in all the Beauty before they have to go home.

This afternoon the Group went home, it was sad that they could not stay longer.
Will all went to the airport and exchanged Hug's and Kisses.
We all said our Good Bye's - then it was off back the Resort.

Day 4
WOW ~!~!
What another Fun day!
We started off the day with Breafast, then took a ride up one of the mountains.
Where we would would go Zip-Lining.

This Line was 1989 ft long.
This one was 1658 ft long
All in all there were 14 Different Platforms with 18 different Lines,
that totaled over 8000 ft long in all
Our Group as we climbed up the mountain to our next line.

Eric was trying to swim in, one of the guides had to go and help him the rest of the way in.

Our Guides
The guides have gone through a very strict and intense training of 400+ hours. They received a first class training and are certified for the primary purpose of keeping us safe at all times.
They will do the work, while you have all the fun.

If you are seeking a fun and exciting day in Roatan, you’ve got to go to, Caribe Sky Canopy Tour.
This is a place where the ocean breeze gently caresses the tropical forest. You’ll be able to have a great ziping adventure in the wilderness, just a few steps away from the sea. A Very unique location allows you to enjoy beautiful landscapes and a splendid view of the sea. They have the best mixture of high, long, short and fast lines.

I have done ziping at other places, this one was Great.

Well then after Lunch we went out for our next Adventure.
Experience Roatan from the Sky!

We went up in a Seaplane. It was jsut Awesome~!

The Pilot Clay did not tell me until I got in that I was sitting in the Co-Pilot sit.

The View was Awesome. You can see both side of the Island at one time.
This photo (above) is Fantasy Island from the air.

Look at that water, it was just as pretty and Clear in the air as it was standing right there in it on the beach.

Seaplane Adventures has become one of the most popular activities on the island of Roatan over the past few years among both visitors and islanders. There is no other way to see what this amazing island has to offer in beauty than from the air.

Bay Island Airways has many different Seaplane Adventure Packages to choose from. They will customize your adventure to meet your needs.

With their Tourist Fun Flight you will see the beautiful Bay Islands from the air, in one of their open  air cockpits, multi-engine seaplane. The experience will last a lifetime.
The fun flights are the best way to view Roatan when you are limited on time due to diving or a short cruise ship excursion schedule.

The rest of the day we just Relaxed on the Beach.
Then later night night some of the Guy's went out for a Night Dive. (They said it was Great!)
While the rest of us just sat around the Resort, had Dinner and listen to the Band play on the Open air Patio.
